Family Photo Shoot

A few weeks ago, my good friend Angela Faris took some great pictures of our family. I was excited that we were able to get pictures on the day that Ryleigh was supposed to turn 1! (June 4). I was so pleased with the way they turned out! Angela really captured Aubrey and Ryleigh's personality in the pictures. We will cherish these pictures forever! Thank you Angela!

A trip to Beaumont, A fun NICU visit, and Splash Fun!

A couple of weeks ago Rod and I went to see our friends The Clarks in Beaumont. We have yet to visit them since they moved there, and it was time! Tami and her family came too! It was such a blessing to be with such wonderful friends, and to be apart of what their life looks like in Beaumont.  Tami and I have known Chris since we were kids.  We are like siblings when we are together; very silly and immature! The weekend went way to fast!

The girls loved playing dress up together! Annie was so cute with Aubrey and Kate! She would take them in her closet and dress each of them. They had the best time playing with all of Annie's toys and things!

A little more than a week ago marked a year since Ryleigh came home from the NICU. (June 2) I found out that her Buddy Nurse Chris was going to be there that day. I was so excited! My other friend Carrie was also working. Although I see Carrie often, I had not seen Chris in a year.  It was so neat to see him holding Ryleigh, and getting caught up about our year. He is such a sweet, sweet nurse. I was so blessed to have such a wonderful man taking care of our little baby. We also got to see a few other nurses from the NICU. I can't believe a year has gone by!

Ryleigh is now 18 pounds!

We have come a long way in a year!

Ryleigh sure has grown a lot! So has Aubrey!

I decided to stop nursing at Ryleigh's expected due date! She has done great with the transition! She is taking sippy cups really well; milk too!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Aubrey and Rod. I just took this picture last week. Aubrey loves getting on the couch with Rod when he is typing on the computer.  She will type on her computer too! She saw that he was wearing glasses, so she ran and got her sunglasses! It was so adorable!

 Then she realized she couldn't see as well, so the glasses came off!

Now that summer is here, we are enjoying the pool and splash parks!

For Kate's birthday, we went to a place in Plano called Amazing Jake's! Aubrey wasn't sure about the first little ride she rode. She tried really hard not to cry on the ride, but before it was over, there were definitely tears! I have to admit, it seemed a little scary to me too! I felt bad for her! Besides that, she loved all the ltitle games and pizza!

I love that Aubrey and Ryleigh play so well together! It warms my heart! My mom recently handed down an old Cabbage Patch phone Tami and I grew up using. Aubrey loves it too! Ryleigh loves to try to talk on the phone too! It's so cute!
