Mother's Day, Main Street Days, and many fun May Days!

Where did May go? I can't believe Summer is just around the corner! We have already gotten Aubrey started with swimming lessons. Luckily, it's in a heated pool! Aubrey has been enjoying swimming with her buddy Rhett!  I have been impressed with how well Aubrey has done in class. She will turn to me in the middle of the lesson and say, "Good job Aubrey!" when she feels she has done something well. It makes me smile everytime. She was also very proud that she did not cry at all the first lesson, or for any of the lessons for that matter. It's a basic class that teaches the kids how to make bubbles, go and pick things up out of the water, froggy dive, float, and kick their legs. I am sad that we are almost done with the lessons!

Another blessing in May was a visit from our friends the Meeks. We have been missing them since they moved to Midland. Aubrey loves playing with Colton, and I sure do miss my friend Jenny.

Colton and Aubrey loved playing on the air mattress!
These two kids are so cute!

I love our sweet girls too! Sweet Ryleigh and Sadie

While they were here, we let Colton and Aubrey ride the Merry Go Round at Stonebriar. Aubrey got off and said to me, "No whining and crying." She was so proud of herself, because the last time we tried it out, she cried.

Come back soon Meeks!
We have been introducing all kinds of food to Ryleigh. She will eat ANYTHING too! In one week she had consumed dog throw up and dog poop. One of her favorite things to eat is dog food! I love that she is not a picky eater!

Bring on the french fries Mama!

Main Street Days is always a fun event. I have been going since I was a little girl. The main reason why I love to go is the food! The weather was awesome the day that we went. The girls had fun riding in the wagon together.

Ryleigh enjoyed the corn dog

So did Aubrey!

We shared some nachoes too! The Coxs love their nachoes!

Aubrey got to milk a mechanical cow

She also got to pet the animals at the petting zoo!

We completed the day with cotton candy on the way home! Although, Aubrey wasn't sure how she felt about the texture of it.

On Mother's Day Rod surprised me with a homemade gift from he and the girls!  I was so impressed, Rod came up with this idea all on his own. The best flowers I have ever been given! I am so blessed to have these three amazing people in my life!
We also got to go to my Mom and Dad's house as a family again! What a blessing! I accidentally deleted the pictures! So bummed!
I love my two girls!

We have now braved letting Ryleigh play in the play areas at the mall! She loves it!
So does Aubrey!
Last Friday we went to Crystals for my nephew's birthday. It brought back many memories from my childhood! Ryleigh enjoyed her first piece of pizza!

Aubrey enjoyed the pizza and playing with Daddy!

Spending time with family is such a blessing!

Aubrey enjoyed riding in the cars too!

Check out my little 15 month old! (17 pounds)

Ryleigh has now started drinking from a sippy cup! I am so proud of her! She does it like she has been doing it for ages! She loves to clap, play with laundry, laugh with her sister, pull things out of baskets, play in the dog food or water bowl, eat, and her sweet lovies. She also is very close to standing by herself! Her top two front teeth are coming in too! Ryleigh is such  a giggly, sweet little girl.

My sweet 35 Month Old

Aubrey has been on a "sweetie" phase. I obviously have been saying it more lately. She will say it to me, Ryleigh, and her baby. The other day I told Aubrey to make sure Ryleigh didn't eat any of her tortilla chips. Ryleigh grabbed one and Aubrey said, "No, no sweetie!"  It was so hilarious! She loves playing with Ryleigh's car seat in her room. She loves to put the baby in her bed, close the door, and say things like, "Night, night sweetie.  When you wake up we can play, okay?"(Something I have said many times.) She also continues to love to pretend talk on the phone. I love listening to her conversations. She will say things as she sees them too. For example, she has said, "Look Mimi, there is a tree." She also will laugh on the phone as if the other person said something funny.
The dance parties have still been on of her favorite things to do. She has some hilarious moves!
Aubrey has grown to be more and more picky with what she eats. I can't let her eat mexican food, Chick-fil-A, and Sonic every day, although I am sure that would make her quite happy! Regardless, I love her to pieces. I love that she has such a sweet heart for any kind of injury. Yesterday, I hit my hand on her bed. She kept asking me if my hand was okay. Sweet girl!

I can't post without including a picture of Kate and Aubrey. Aubrey loves playing at Aunt Tam's house!
That's all for now!

Easter/Egg Hunt Pics and More

We have been doing pictures with the Easter Bunny since Aubrey was a baby. We always do them with Kate. Aubrey has never been a big fan!  She likes the Easter Bunny from a distance. The minute we get close to the bunny, she gets very nervous and cries. This year was Ryleigh's first experience with the Easter Bunny. The minute we put the four girls next to the bunny, Tami's two girls started smiling so big, and my girls started crying.  I wanted to walk up and pinch one of her girls! The photographer was laughing at me because instead of bribing with a sucker, or a piece of candy; I was bribing Aubrey with a burrito. That's right, a burrito. Aubrey loves her breakfast burritos from Sonic. I was desperate! We did get a couple smiles out of them, but none of them were captured from the photographer. Check these girls out.

Minutes after we left the Easter Bunny, Aubrey was all about it.  She wanted to go back and see him. She and Kate were as happy as could be.

It was a lot of fun doing the Egg Hunts with Aubrey this year. This was the first year she understood what she was supposed to do. Of course once she realized there were goodies in the eggs, she wanted to stop and start digging in!
We did one with our small group that Aubrey really enjoyed!

We alternate where we go for Easter each year. This year we were in Longview. We had such a wonderful time with the fam! Aubrey loves spending time with her Mimi and Papi, Great Granny Cox, and her Uncle Jose and Aunt Candice. I think Aubrey could have dyed eggs all day long! Check her out on video!

Here is another one!

I love this smiling picture of  Aubrey and Mimi! Thank you Mimi for loving on Aubrey!

Check out the finished product!

Aubrey loved this swing when she was Ryleigh's age. She still loves it! It was a big hit for Ryleigh too!

Aubrey is old enough for the big girl slide now! At first she wasn't sure, but she ended up loving it!

Ryleigh got to experience her first Butcher Shop burger in Longview, as well as many other good meals! She loved every bit of it!

I love sweet Aubrey!

Aubrey enjoyed pretending to ride the mower

She loved  pretending to ride it with Daddy too!

Uncle Jose was so great about swinging Aubrey over and over again.

Thank you Coxs for an amazing weekend!

In other news, we will no longer be needing ECI! Praise the Lord! We will miss you Kristen!

Aubrey is such a big girl now! She still has pee pee accidents every once in  awhile, but other than that we are good to go! She is such a big girl!

It was a very relaxing weekend in the Cox Household!
The girls loved playing outside!
Ryleigh has started playing on the playground too!

I am afraid Ryleigh is going to experience this  a  lot. Aubrey shut her door to keep Ryleigh out of her room. Of course, to be fair her baby was taking a nap. All babies need privacy!

She still manages a smile though!
Another play picture!

We introduced Ryleigh to powder donuts this weekend. She had no complaints!

Okay, that's all for now!
