Saying Goodbye to February

February has been a great month! No complaints here. Rod and I had a great date on Valentine's Day! Rod's parents babysat for us! I have the best In-Laws! Going out for lunch on Valentine's Day is the way to go! You get seated right away. We went to Macaroni Grill, which is one of our favorites! Rod got me the sweetest card, and a video monitor! Cards mean so much to me! They really mean more to me than flowers or anything else. I love my sweet husband!

Since I was a little girl, my dad has been giving me the big assorted box of chocolates on Valentine's Day. This year was no exception. (I think I ate them faster than I ever have before! The dangers of being a stay at home mom!) My mom always gets us an awesome gift card or money, which I love!

Tami and I also celebrated our 31st birthday this month. I love being able to share my birthday with my sister! It makes getting older so much easier! I must say, I missed not getting little cards from my students this year. I did get lots of sweet phone calls and cards from family and friends though. Tami and I treated ourselves to Abuelos, which is our favorite Mexican food place. We can down chips and salsa faster than any two girls you have ever seen! It was a special lunch, because for the first time Aubrey sat in a high chair! It made eating so much easier! Also for our birthday, we had my mom's homemade birthday cinnamon rolls, and whatever homemade foods we want. This is something we have been doing forever! The Tates are BIG into traditions! I love it!

Thirty was a big year. I will never forget all the wonderful memories that I've experienced over the last year. All the fun in being pregnant for the first time, to having Aubrey, and now experiencing parenthood for the first time. It has been the most life changing year of my life. It overwhelms me when I think about the blessings!

Aubrey has started saying certain sounds now! She says Ba, and occasionally Ma! She has been crawling for awhile, but she also pulls herself to a standing position easily. I think she is going to be walking in no time! My little girl is growing up too fast! She has started crawling around the tub now too. She even stands up when she is ready to get out! I just adore her! Shopping trips have become alot simpler now, since Aubrey can sit in the cart. She is much more content in the cart, than the car seat! As I mentioned before, she is also now sitting in a high chair! Way to go Aubrey!

"Time to Drop the Crib Down"

A couple of weeks ago, while I was away at a Shower, Rod walked in to find Aubrey like this! She was supposed to be taking a nap! Obviously, we had to move the mattress down! She still loves to get on her knees in the crib, but at least now she isn't able to reach the top of it! I love her reaction when Rod walks in the room!
