Holidays and Snow Days

Last Sunday we had a good amount of snow, and there is still part of it left! It was kind of strange seeing all the snow again, since the last time we had snow was right before Ryleigh was born. I definitely had a since of deja vu.  Ironically we are almost to the 1 year mark too, which just reminds me how far we have come. If you can believe it, Ryleigh is inch worming around now. ECI feels that she will most likely be crawling in about a month. WOW! She definitely works the room quickly already, and you have to watch anything within her reach. She has already spilled her baby food a few times! She grabs it from me while I am feeding her. And, she has her first tooth! It was discovered by her Aunt Candice on New Years. Ryleigh has gotten to that point where she cries when you take something away from her, and  she also has a strong sense of separation anxiety. We have yet to find any foods she doesn't like. As of now we have introduced both cereals, apples, sweet potatoes, potatoes, prunes and squash. She is growing and changing so much every day! She is weighing more than 15 pounds now!
Aubrey has gotten more particular about the things Ryleigh plays with, now that she can get into things easier. We hear the word "Mine" a lot in this household. I know it is to be expected among siblings. Aubrey is big on dressing herself too. Aubrey will walk into the room all dressed with an interesting outfit and say, "Good job, Aubrey." It really makes me smile.
Christmas this year was different, but still was great. I really was worried about how I would feel this year on Christmas, since we wouldn't be with either one of our families. It really was a great day for us though. I made a big meal for us, and we got to enjoy time at home. We also went and looked at Christmas lights. Aubrey and I still went to the Tate household on Christmas Eve, since it was our year for Christmas, but Rod and Ryleigh stayed at home. It was strange not having my whole family with me, but we made the best of it. We still got to celebrate with Rod's parents and Candice for a day, which was nice too. Aubrey and Ryleigh both had ear infections, but they were very mild. Aubrey spent a couple of nights at her Mimi and Papi's and had a great time. It was the first time for her to be there without us. Her Mimi and Papi took great care of her, and I think she enjoyed the one on one time.
Well, I think that is all for now so here you go...

New Years Eve Eve

The day before New Years Eve, our good friends Chris and Merry were in town. So, Chris and Merry, Brent and Erika, Tam and Zach, and Rod and I all had a great night of hanging out. It was  a fun night of great conversation, eating great food, and playing fun games! We played Rod's favorite drawing game! (Not really, he hates it but we all get a good laugh!)
